Image compressor for Android

Shrinkora: Image Compressor & Photo Resizer

Compress photos to a target KB or MB, resize one image or a batch, and export JPEG, PNG or WebP. Shrinkora processes selected images on your Android device, so they do not need to be uploaded for compression.

  • Target KB/MB
  • Batch up to 50
  • JPEG
  • PNG
  • WebP
  • Android 7.0+

Compression, resizing, format conversion, and output verification happen locally on your Android device.

Uses Android system pickers

Choose specific photos or files without granting Shrinkora broad access to your photo library or storage.

Keeps the original untouched

Shrinkora creates a separate output and does not silently overwrite or delete the image you selected.

Everything you need

Make images smaller without the guesswork

Shrinkora is a focused image utility for Android. Choose the result you need, process one photo or a batch, and review the actual file-size change before saving or sharing.

01

Compress to a target KB or MB

Enter a target from 10 KB to 20 MB. Shrinkora searches for suitable quality and, when needed, reduces dimensions to reach the target or get as close as safely possible.

  • Targets from 10 KB to 20 MB
  • Per-image quality search
02

Four Quick compression levels

Choose Light, Balanced, Strong, or Smallest when you want a smaller file without entering a specific target size.

03

Batch up to 50 images

Select and process up to 50 images in one task. Each image keeps its own progress and result, so one failure does not stop the rest of the batch.

04

Resize by percentage or pixels

Scale an image from 1% to 100%, or enter output dimensions from 32 to 16,384 pixels. Shrinkora never enlarges a smaller source image.

05

JPEG, PNG, and WebP output

Use JPEG for photos, PNG for graphics and transparent images, or WebP when smaller transparent output matters. Auto chooses from the image and optimization goal.

  • Automatic format selection
  • Transparent WebP output
06

Preserve PNG transparency

Keep transparent PNG output, or explicitly choose a smaller WebP file that still supports alpha. Transparency is never silently flattened into JPEG.

07

See the actual result

Compare original and output sizes, dimensions, saved space, and per-image status. If re-encoding would be larger, Shrinkora keeps the source result.

08

Save, share, and review history

Save outputs to Pictures/Shrinkora, share them through Android, and review local task summaries with image count, time, status, and saved space.

Format support

Know what Shrinkora can read and create

Shrinkora supports the image formats Android users encounter most often. HEIC and HEIF input depends on the decoder available on the device.

When a transparent PNG keeps its original dimensions and orientation, Shrinkora can run its bundled OxiPNG optimizer. The result is accepted only when it remains valid and is smaller than the source.

Three simple steps

Compress an image your way

  1. 1

    Choose your images

Use Android's photo picker or file picker, or share images to Shrinkora from another app. Review size, dimensions, and support status before continuing.

  2. 2

    Set the result

Choose a Quick level, enter a target KB or MB, or resize by percentage or pixels. Then select Auto, JPEG, PNG, or WebP output.

  3. 3

    Compress, review, and continue

Follow per-image progress, compare the result, then save it to your device or share it through Android's system share sheet.

On-device privacy

Your selected images are processed locally

Shrinkora reads, compresses, resizes, and verifies images on your Android device. It does not upload selected image content to a Shrinkora server.

Compression history summaries, preferences, and temporary processing files stay local. Saved outputs remain in your device media collection until you delete them, and private image metadata, including location, is removed from generated output.

The current release does not include active advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.

Frequently asked questions

Shrinkora FAQ

Which image formats can Shrinkora compress?

Shrinkora supports JPEG, PNG, and static WebP input. It can also read HEIC or HEIF when the Android device provides a compatible decoder.

Which formats can Shrinkora create?

Shrinkora can create JPEG, PNG, and WebP images. Auto output chooses a format based on the source image, transparency, and selected optimization goal.

Can I compress an image to 100 KB?

Yes. Choose the 100 KB shortcut or enter 100 in Target Size and select KB. The result page shows the actual output size.

Is the target size guaranteed exactly?

No. Shrinkora aims for the target or below, but image complexity, transparency, quality limits, and safe dimensions can make very small targets unreachable. The app shows the closest possible result when needed.

How many images can I compress at once?

Up to 50 images per batch.

Can Shrinkora resize images?

Yes. Resize from 1% to 100%, or enter a width and height from 32 to 16,384 pixels. Shrinkora does not enlarge smaller source images.

Does Shrinkora preserve PNG transparency?

Yes. Select PNG or Keep PNG to preserve transparency. Smaller Files can use WebP when you want a smaller transparent output.

Why does an image sometimes show “already near optimal”?

The source may already be below the target, or another encoding may not produce a smaller file. Shrinkora keeps the source result instead of creating a larger duplicate.

Does Shrinkora upload my images?

No. Selected image content is processed on your device and is not uploaded to a Shrinkora server.

Does Shrinkora need access to every photo or file?

No. Shrinkora uses Android's system photo and file pickers, so you choose the specific items it can read.

Where are saved images stored?

On Android 10 and later, saved images appear in Pictures/Shrinkora. On Android 7–9, the system asks you to choose an output folder when saving.

Does Shrinkora overwrite or delete the original image?

No. It creates a separate output file and leaves the selected source image untouched.

Can Shrinkora compress videos or PDF files?

No. The current release focuses on still-image compression, resizing, and format conversion.

Where can I download Shrinkora?

Shrinkora is available for Android on Google Play at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pasta.shrinkora.

Ready to make your next image smaller?

Download Shrinkora from Google Play, choose a target KB or MB, and see the actual file-size change before saving or sharing.
