Download X-Installer
Install XAPK, APKM & Split APKs easily. Secure, privacy-focused & no scanning.
X-Installer is a free, privacy-first Android utility that installs every common split-APK format — XAPK from APKPure, APKM from APKMirror, APKS from SAI and AAB exports, plus standard APK files and OBB-bundled ZIP archives. The 2.42 MB app uses the official Android PackageInstaller API, requires no root, and never scans your storage in the background.
You can install it directly from Google Play below. The app self-updates from the Play Store, and works on every device running Android 7.0 (API 24) or higher.

Why download X-Installer
One installer, every split-APK format
APK, XAPK, APKM, APKS, OBB and ZIP — handled by a single 2.42 MB app. Stop juggling a different installer per format.
Privacy by default
No broad storage permission, no background scanning. X-Installer only reads the file you explicitly select, then closes the handle.
Built on official Android APIs
Uses the system PackageInstaller, complies with Google Play policy, and runs without root on Android 7.0 through 15.
Installation Steps
Install from Google Play (Recommended)
- 1Open Google Play Store
- 2Search for "X-Installer"
- 3Tap "Install"
Device-specific notes
Samsung (One UI 6+)
Allow “Install unknown apps” for X-Installer when prompted on first install. No additional Knox configuration required.
Xiaomi (MIUI / HyperOS)
MIUI may add an extra confirmation step. Tap “Install anyway” when the package comes from a trusted source.
Google Pixel (stock Android 10+)
No extra steps. The system PackageInstaller dialog appears as expected after you pick a file.
OnePlus / Realme (OxygenOS / RealmeUI)
Split installs are handled natively; no special configuration needed.
Common questions before installing
Does X-Installer need root?
No. The app uses Android’s built-in PackageInstaller API. Root is never required and never requested.
Is X-Installer safe?
Yes. The Play Store binary is signed, storage access is scoped to the file you pick, and there is no telemetry beyond crash reports and the ad SDKs disclosed in the privacy policy.
Why is the install button greyed out?
Almost always a missing “Install unknown apps” permission. See the FAQ for the full troubleshooting checklist.
